The student placed on Academic Probation has the next quarter to improve his GPA or to improve the individual courses in which "F" grades are earned. If a student does not improve in the specified time period, the student may be considered for dismissal from school. Students transferring to MVCS from other schools will also be placed on academic probation if they do not meet the minimum requirements. If, at the end of the probationary period, the student achieves an overall GPA of 2.0 or above and does not receive an "F" in any course, he/she will be removed from probation. If the student has not elevated his/her overall GPA to 2.0 or above, or receives an "F" in any course by the conclusion of the probationary period, he/she may be placed on academic probation for another quarter or the parents may be asked to withdraw the student from the school. The school administration reserves the right to make all final decisions regarding a student's academic probation.
